A final touch

ES and I re-did our downstairs bathroom this past year, including new fixtures, a faucet, and paint.  What we didn't do was find new lighting.  There's some things I don't like to do.  This includes wiring new fixtures in the house.  We'd put off a new light for quite awhile, but finally took the plunge, watched some e"how" videos, and decided it looked easy enough (famous last words??)....

Stay tuned.  Fixture installation this weekend along with a final garden bed clean out.  Been putting it off, but as the weather is cooling this is the best time to try and tackle it.

It's not hard, really! We redid the outdoor fixtures on the old house (upon request of the people who wanted to purchase it). We also wired and hung our own dining room chandelier. The biggest problem we had there was not in wiring, it was in the fittings with our decorative ceiling tile.

Anyways, just be smart - and you both are. Turn off the fixture and the breaker and connect the wires up. And if you have problems, or want someone to stand there and nod their head while you do it, let us know!

The new fixture looks really pretty! Rob and I installed new lights in the front hallway and entrance hall, and in the formal dining room. We could not put the lights that we purchased in the front bathroom, since the builder chopped an irregular hole in the drywall, and we are not sure if it can support the weight. Be sure to post a follow-up photo!
